ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as the Clinical Associates – Taraba, Nigeria. The incumbent will Provide technical leadership in assigned program areas of Pediatrics and PMTCT across all LGAs and facilities. Ensuring regiment optimization, strengthening community ART implementation with clear strategies for achieving epidemic control in the state, Support and scale up the implementation of differentiated service delivery (DSD) models in both facility and community settings that are client-centric and in line with global best practices, Support program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting through the collation, analysis, and reporting of process, output, and outcome-level data to help determine the project’s impact on patient’s clinical outcomes and quality of life, Identify gaps in equipment and consumables in the assigned facility(ies) with prompt communication for appropriate for remediation, Support implementation of program Quality Improvement projects (including but not limited to patient satisfaction surveys, waiting time assessments, mortality reviews, and SIMS assessments) from problem diagnosis, implementing remediation plans, tracking outputs of interventions, and reporting.

Only candidates who are eligible to work in Taraba Nigeria without a need for sponsorship will be considered for the position.

This is a locally employed position contingent upon the availability of grant funding.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Clinical Associate position by May 2024. The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree (MBBS or international equivalent) is required and a minimum of one (1) year post-NYSC experience; experience in the management of HIV care and treatment projects in resource-limited settings preferred.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum one (1) year post-NYSC experience; experience in the management of HIV care and treatment projects in resource-limited settings preferred.
  • Cultural adaptability and language skills relevant to work locations are strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, and coordinating clinical teams in primary and secondary-level facilities in work locations is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy with competencies in MS Office Suite required.
  • Fluent English oral and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally in English and oversee the production of comprehensive program reports

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel within the assigned state in Nigeria conducting site visits for capacity building and program monitoring activities with occasional travel outside of the assigned state.
