Our correspondence received the following messages from the Nurses who just sat for their Council Exams in May 2024.

Is anyone preparing for council in September or November?

A student has this to say: “The rate of failure is much in this recent May professional exam and has first given sign since the March professional exam but we all take it for granted”

The student further encouraged his colleagues: “We need to work hard and put our hands together to ensure a good success rate in the upcoming council exam”

@Junior: “Absolutely it baffled me when I see mAssive failure in NMCN exam, I feel devastated, so please let’s help out to reduce this menace in our dear college.”

@IVOKERIC: “You know council exam has turned in to a child play now where someone thinks if A that was not studying can pass means I will not waste my time to study and see the end product of it. Before the coming of CBT, we all knew that to pass council exams was about hard work and dedication. Care plan most be at your finger tip with management plus others but today is about guess work for some of the student toh may God help us all”

NR. DANIEL: “Jùñíör⁩ it’s actually worrisome, but one thing is for sure. You cannot change this whole thing called exam failure. However, we can only contribute towards changing the mindset of students about nursing education. Most of the students are not objective in their academic pursue, the read and memorize just to pass the council examination. They have an unclassified form of mindset about nursing so in such scenario we can only tell our junior colleagues pursuing this career on how to best go about their study. Nothing more”

LOOKING AT THE RATE OF FAILURE

General is 78%
And general Nursing 76%
Refresher 48%
Foreign train 50%

From above percentage, the rate of failure in either paper 1 or 2 or OSCE is becoming much and this is a strong call for us all to stand together to fight this mess.

If you’re a nursing student preparing for council soon
I urge you from today to stand on your feet, don’t just read to pass school exam , read for future and read also for council exam.
Note that council questions are now applied questions which requires you to involve critical thinking before attempting or getting the correct option.

We will begin our preparation and by God grace promise we’ll explore a new Method of preparation for now.

Do well to share the blog link with your coursemates and colleagues preparing for the Nursing or Midwifery NMCN CBT exam so they will be aware once we commence the September and November class sections.

You can login and check if your school have not access their results yet.

But don’t proceed with license registration until your school gives you approval.
